oc3c.sig.jar Is Not Limiting The GUI As Expected from OC3C 6.0.1 (Doc ID 2292642.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 03, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller - Version 6.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When upgrading Oracle Communication Convergent Charging Controller (OC3C) version 6.0.0 to 6.0.1.

One of the steps in the Upgrade Guide suggests to replace ccs.sig.jar package with oc3c.sig.jar in the new sms.jnlp file.

According to this document using oc3c.sig.jar should cause the removal of multiple Graphical User Interface (GUI) screens that are mentioned in OC3C 6.0.1 Release Notes.

However, there is no difference between using ccs.sig.jar and oc3c.sig.jar as all the screens are still there.

Questions:
1. Should something be done to match the expected OC3C 6.0.1 GUI configuration, or can there be an issue with oc3c.sig.jar?

2. What is the exact difference between ccs.sig.jar and oc3c.sig.jar?
