Display Issue with Multi-value Custom Attributes - "Display Length for CA cannot exceed the CA maximum length of XX." (Doc ID 2296952.1)

Symptoms

  1. Launch tbs_util.exe
  2. Click on Options==>Custom Attributes==>Create or Edit
  3. Click New
    1. Value Data Type: Alphanumeric
    2. Value Type:         Multi-Valued
    3. CA Category:       Data Network
    4. Value Label:        Test CA
    5. Max Length:        8
    6. CA Description:    Test CA
  4. Associate new CA
    1. Click on Options==>Custom Attributes==>Associate
    2. Set Building Block Type to Connection
    3. Double Click on Virtual Connection
    4. Click on Assoc CAs button
    5. Retrieve new CA "Test CA" and click OK
  5. Process Point and Layout
    1. Click on Layout
    2. Set Process Point to "New Connection Design"
    3. Set Action to "Render for Entry"
    4. Check the checkbox for new CA
    5. Set Label Placement to "Top"
    6. Set Entry Type to "Dependent - Optional when displayed"
    7. set Display Ln Nbr 200
    8. set Display Col Nbr 1
    9. set Display Length 20
