POST Request for Search is Not Working (Doc ID 2297748.1)

When POSTing a search request no results are returned.  When running the same query using the straight query API, the correct results are returned.

The front being developed by the customer expects to receive a list of all the claims, and this list could be big, and receiving all the fields, the amount of data being received is too big. So the goal is to post a search request using a query that returns fewer fields than the straight query API.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

execute the following query API with method POST:

With the following body:
  "search": {
    "resource" : {
        "q"      : "'TST%')",
        "fields" : "code, status"
