Balance Extension on Querying the Balance Based on Time (Doc ID 2301263.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 30, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Communications BRM - Elastic Charging Engine - Version 11.3.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.3.0.3.0 version, Balance Management

Currently, Balance Extension supports querying the balance applicable based on the session start. For handling out of order CDR scenarios to grant or charge resources, the custom logic to be implemented needs to verify the balance moving ahead in time, like GetResourceBal(Session Time + X hrs), to ensure the customer is not already charged, i.e. to avoid double charging.

The requirement is to have the ability to query the balances passing timestamp as input rather than using the session start.
