ATP Ship Date is not considering manufacturing lead time days remaining beyond resource constraint
We have observed that while ATP is calculating the Ship Date, if there is a resource availability constraint, the remaining manufacturing lead time days after the constrained operation is not being considered.
- Item A has a 20 day lead time
- The constrained resource is located in operation 40 (25% operation offset to the lead time)
- The operation 40 resource is not available until day 50,
ATP returns date of day 50 instead of day 65.
In theory once operation 40 actually completes (day 50) there still remains 15 days lead time to complete the order. It appears that the downstream operations are not a consideration after the constrained operation resource.
ATP Calculates the correct Ship Date based on resource constraints and lead times.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run Plan
2. Preform ATP inquiry on resource constrained Item
