Agile Application Server Fails to Start Up With Error JSP-00056 After Changing LDAP Provider's Control Type to Sufficient in WebLogic Admin Console

Symptoms
LDAP users are having problem to login to Agile. Found that there are configuration issues in WebLogic LDAP setting.
However, after changing Control Type from "OPTIONAL" to "SUFFICIENT", Agile Application Server fails to start up with below error:
Error
oracle.security.jps.JpsException: JPS-00056: Failed to create identity store service instance idstore.ldap.provider:idstore.ldap. Reason: oracle.security.jps.JpsRuntimeException: JPS-00027: There was an internal error: You configured a generic WLS LDAPAuthenticator.
The identity store type cannot be determined. Please choose an LDAP Authentication provider that matches your LDAP server.
Steps
- Login to WebLogic admin console
- Goto Security Realm, AgileRealm > Providers
- Lock & Edit
- Select "ActiveDirectory"
- Change Control Type to "SUFFICIENT" and Save
- Activate Change
- Restart Agile Application Server
