Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 6.0.0 and later
On all versions of Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC) and Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller (OC3C) on Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) only, a problem exists where any script called from the crontab will fail to invoke nawk if the actual nawk is installed.
By default, nawk on OEL is a softlink to gawk:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 Sep 2 2016 /usr/bin/nawk -> gawk
If the actual nawk package is installed, then every script which calls nawk and is invoked from the crontab will fail and throw the error:
Installation of the nawk package.
