Last updated on OCTOBER 30, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution - Version 6.2.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Current Behavior

Gateway Events are not being flagged as Bypassed when their associated tasks are marked as not required. This behavior is specific to the Task Maintenance window (w_task_generate) accessed using either of the following methods from the Service Request Search results window:

    a) Right-click on an order > Select "Task Maintenance..."

    b) Highlight order > Options > Select "Task Maintenance..."

NOTE 1: The Gateway Event status initially appears as Bypassed on the Task Maintenance window's Gateway Event tab. However, saving the changes by closing and reopening in the window reveals the status is still Pending.

NOTE 2: The behavior occurs even after receiving a message stating all the task's assigned events will be marked as note required (see text below).

Expected Behavior (additional information)

The behavior works as expected when performing the same function in the Task Generation window (w_task_generate_response_maint) accessed using either of the following methods from the Work Queue Manager's Work Queue window:

    a) Right-click on an order's task > Select "Service Request Tasks..."

    b) Highlight order's task > Options > Select "Service Request Tasks..."
