Symptoms

When starting the Agile server service, below error is reported in Agile Application Server log (stdout or nohup log) or the console where the Agile Application Server is started

Error

java.sql.SQLException: Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12514, TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
The Connection descriptor used by the client was:
//{database_server_name}:{port}/{sid}

Steps

1. Start Agile Application Server
2. See Agile Application Server fails with the error in the console or the Agile Application Server log (stdout or nohup log)

Changes

Database instance was newly installed or Agile Application Server configuration was changed to connect to a different Database instance
