Rolling Snoop Has Invalid Fuser Command For Linux (Doc ID 2305579.1)

Last updated on JUNE 25, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller - Version 6.0.1 to 15.0.0.0.0 [Release 6.0 to 15.0.0]
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

On Oracle Communications - Convergent Charging Controller (OC-3C) 6.0.1, rolling snoop scripts are used to create and store snoop (network traffic) capture file into hourly archive directories.

Rolling snoop processes are not stopping properly every hour, but new processes are started, so there can be hundreds of snoop processes running at a time.

Also, archiving trace files in SUPPORT/snoops/archive is not working.
