HOW TO Correct Incomplete Orders That Lack AbandonmentInfo

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Not all orders in INCOMPLETE state are having their corresponding abandonmentInfo data created. As a result, orders that lack this data cannot be queried and processed by the application's business logic for handling "lost" orders. How can this subset of the orders be fixed so that "lost order" processing finds this subset and handles them?
