Data Extract Fails With The 'ORA-01940' / 'ORA-01920' Errors. (Doc ID 230622.1)

Symptoms

SAS data extract problem getting SQL error
If running Data Extract View and for any reason there are failures when it is performing grants or if the user stops the PSUB process, the system will leave the studyname@CURRENT username in use and any subsequent data extract runs will continue to FAIL.

 

Initially seeing the following in the log file:

ERR level 1
create_view
View: PBO102$CURRENT.HEMAHEMT ORA-00957: duplicate column name

ERR level 1
create_study_views_and_tables
Create view failed


The above problem caused users to stop/abort the data extract process via PSUB.
Thereafter all subsequent runs come up with the following errors in the log file:

Connected to ORACLE as user RXC_MAA.
Error dropping user PBO102$CURRENT
ORA-01940: cannot drop a user that is currently connected

Error creating user PBO102$CURRENT
ORA-01920: user name 'PBO102$CURRENT' conflicts with another user or r
ERR level 1
create_account
Unable to create account.
ERR level 1
maintain_account
Error when calling create_account
Connected to ORACLE as user /.
Connected to ORACLE as user RXC_MAA.
RXCDXBVB EXIT WITH FAILURE
