Error 404 When Attempting to Load '/p6ws/services/' (With an Ending Slash in the URL) (Doc ID 2307017.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 19, 2017

Applies to:

Primavera Web Services - Version 16.2.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When attempting connection to http(s)://<host>:<port>/p6ws/services/ (with a slash on the end), the services servlet does not display and returns a status 404 instead.

For example:

Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1: 10.4.5 404 Not Found The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI.

Note: when connecting to the same URL without a slash at the end, the page loads successfully.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

When attempting connection to http(s)://<host>:<port>/p6ws/services/ (with a slash on the end), the services servlet should return a listing of available services, like it does when a slash is not appended to the end.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Open a web browser
  2. Attempt connection to http(s)://<host>:<port>/p6ws/services
  3. Note that the web page properly loads
  4. Adjust the URL to http(s)://<host>:<port>/p6ws/services/ (with a slash at end)
  5. Note the web page does not load and returns a status 404 instead.
