Ldap User Login Successfully but Will Be Recorded to Auth_failed Table

Symptoms

Actual Behavior
When LDAP user login successfully to Web Client, below it will always be recorded to AUTH_FAILED table.

AUTH_FAILED.REASON column has the following message inserted.
com.agile.resources.PCMessagesI18N::APDM_INVALIDPASSWORD[[]]

This issue occurs only on LDAP user and for non-ldap user such as admin user, it will not be reproduced.

Expected Behavior
When LDAP user login successfully to Web Client, no new record will be inserted to AUTH_FAILED table

Steps

  1. Configure active directory LDAP setting on Java Client and WebLogic admin console
  2. Restart Application Server
  3. Sync LDAP user and change to active for ldap user : user1
  4. Login to Web client with ldap user : user1. Could login without any error message in the UI.
  5. Run the following SQL in agile database.

    select * from Auth_Failed where username = 'user1' order by created desc;

    ID          USERNAME    REASON                                                                                          FAILURE_DT
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    6018627 user1           com.agile.resources.PCMessagesI18N::APDM_INVALIDPASSWORD[[]]    23-AUG-17
