When Viewing An Email Message In Convergence Get Error: An Error Occurred While Displaying The Selected Message (Doc ID 2310750.1)

Symptoms

Using the mail component of Convergence 3.0.1.3.0, when a user tries to view a particular mail message, the following error is shown in the bottom pane:

  An error occurred while displaying the selected message

However, the same mail message can be viewed in a different mail application, without any issues.
