Need To See IP Address Of Client On Same Line As "TCP Access denied" Error (Doc ID 2312120.1)

Last updated on MARCH 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 8.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

TCPaccess option is enabled for MMPs to gather data which results in a few hundred of these types messages per hour:

Sep 26 13:49:46 server /opt/sun/comms/messaging64/lib/AService[29320]: [ID 873310 local1.error] General: (id 14688417) TCP Access denied: Access control filter on server forbids connection (-51)

However, which client IP address was associated with that message?

A search can be performed for "(id 14688417)" to find that one, but reporting the blocked IPs over hundreds of messages is very cumbersome and time consuming.

It would be nice if the IP addresses related to these IDs was also logged on the same line, so that it would allow for easier reporting.
