Instant Messaging Servers Out Of Sync After Upgrade To Java 8 (Doc ID 2313370.1)

Symptoms

Instant Messaging (IM) 10u1-00.18 (10.0.1.0.0) in 8 node server pool.

Upgraded IM servers to:

java version "1.8.0_131"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_131-b11)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.131-b11, mixed mode)

and seeing 2 servers are out of sync, with dialback errors and jstack shows process waiting/hanging on lock; but all other remaining servers are in sync.

 

Changes

Upgraded Java version 7 to version 8 on Instant Messaging (IM) servers.
