Hierarchy Navigator from FP4.1 export functionality creates files with incorrect file type.

If you use the export functionality in H-Nav from FP4.1 opening the generated excel files produces the error:

If you select yes sometimes the generated file will be corrupted and will error again. If you are able to get a file open and you go to use the "save as" functionality in excel, you will see that while the file is named Hierarchy.xls, excel is reading the files as an XML Spreadsheet 2003 (*.xml). It appears that H-Nav is naming their file as though it was a .xls file but the actual file structure is that of .xml which is causing errors when opened.

The file you are trying to open, "Hierarchy (1).xls', is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?

1. In the Hierarchy, choose to export.
2. Receive error
