Is There A Way To Disable The Normal Pipe Channel Program Lookup Features And Only Use The Default Program? (Doc ID 2319034.1)

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 8.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Oracle Communications Messaging Server 8.0.1.3.20170804 64bit (built Aug 4 2017)
libimta.so 8.0.1.3.20170804 64bit (built 21:18:29, Aug 4 2017)
Using /opt/sun/comms/messaging64/config/config.xml (compiled)
NSS Library Version: 3.28.5

Fixed in MS version 8.0.1.2 + cumulative hotfix, ER 26417209 - Change Default Method for Pipe Channel when none is present in recipient address is working as expected.  However, we have always had a small number of emails sent to bogus +@group.example.com.  Prior to the fix for ER 26417209, those were passed to our groupmailer script, which did a lookup for a group including the +, which there can never be any, and generated a bounce message explaining that "+" is not a valid group.

Now that we are using the fix for unpublished ER 26417209, the + is being interpreted as a program name to lookup in the "db", and so the messages are being bounced with a "Address not found in database" error instead.

Is there a way to disable the normal pipe channel program lookup features and only use the default program?
