The Activities Of A Copied Projects In P6 Destination Get Emptied After Running Synchronization Again

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Source end :
P6 EPPM 16.2, P6 Adapter 16.2
Destination end :
P6 EPPM 15.1, P6 Adapter 15.1

1. Create a new project "TestProject" with two activities in P6 R16.2 source.
2. Assign the activity code "ActivityCode=V1" to one activity in this project.
3. Create business flow and apply above Activity Code filter. Enable the "Compare Flag" and "Delete data that no longer exists in the source application" options. Run sync job to send this project and activities from source to P6 R15.1 destination.
4. Copy the synchronized project "TestProject" to "TestProject-1", "TestProject-2" ... in P6 R15.1 destination.
5. Run the same sync job again.

It is found that the activities in those copied projects are deleted.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
The Activities of copied project at destination are not emptied after running the same sync job again.



STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a new project "TestProject" with two activities in P6 R16.2 source.
2. Assign the activity code "ActivityCode=V1" to one activity in this project.
3. Create business flow and apply above Activity Code filter. Enable the "Compare Flag" and "Delete data that no longer exists in the source application" options. Run sync job to send this project and activities from source to P6 R15.1 destination.
4. Copy the synchronized project "TestProject" to "TestProject-1", "TestProject-2" ... in P6 R15.1 destination.
5. Run the same sync job again. The activities in those copied projects are deleted.

Note:

(1) If don't apply the "Delete data that no longer exists in the source application" option, the activities in the copied projects are not deleted.
(2) If don't assign the activity code and don't apply the activity code filter, even though applying the "Delete data that no longer exists in the source application" option, the activities in copied projects are not deleted.

Due to this issue, user's project data gets deleted from the P6 destination.
