RPM Client XML Authentication Fails With "Server Connection Failed And Retries Were Not Successful" (Doc ID 2326255.1)

Symptoms


While logging into RPM application, using XML Authentication, the following error is thrown.

com.retek.platform.exception.RetekNetworkException: Server connection failed and retries were not successful
 exception id:
 at com.retek.platform.service.SeriviceAccessor.callRemoteMethod(ServiceAccessor.jara:383)
 at com.retek.rpm.app.RPMServiceAccessorProxy.remoteTransaction(RPMServiceAccessorProxy.java:24)

What is Working
-----------------------
The login was successful on  Retail Security Manager (RSM) application with the same username.


Steps to Reproduce
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Tech Stack:
A. JRE: 1.7_25 on client side.
B. The RSM_ROLE table has the entry for the corresponding user.

1. Key in the username and password to login to the rpm application.
2. Notice the error.
