How to Increase Connections To MeterMaid Server (Doc ID 2326436.1)

Goal

Question 1:  Is there any parameter that would affect the maximum number of connections to metermaid besides metermaid.mtaclient.maxconns?
 
Question 2:  In the case where the MTA and Metermaid are on different hosts, on which host should metermaid.mtaclient.maxconns be set?

Question 3:  We're getting the following warning in the worker log of tcp_local log file:
