How to Suppress AAA Messages between BCD and BRM ECE (Doc ID 2326941.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2019

Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller - Version 6.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller (OC3C), the Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) Charging Driver (BCD) can use Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) messages to perform real time rating and charging for prepaid services.  The AAA functionality was removed in OC3C 6.0.0 but this change was reverted in 6.0.1 along with the addition of a new parameter (suppressAAAMessages) to control whether to use AAA messages or not for certain operations.

As the name of the parameter suggests, by setting this to true or false, AAA messages can either be suppressed or utilized for billing operations between the Oracle Service Logic Controller (SLC) and BRM.
