Attempt to Promote Content via the BCC results in the following error in the status bar at the bottom of the screen

Error: Deployment failed : File Store
File Store(s) Response : [Update status : Failure ] ; [ Cause : The user name or password is incorrect ] ;

In this Document
 The following error occurs when a call is made to get the getCanonicalPath from the OS. In this case Windows. The error notes that the caller does not have the right 'user name' or 'password'  to access the the directory.
 From a configuration standpoint the following is true
 -- The JVM running Oracle Commerce (ATG) resides on machineA and is started by the Commerce user.
-- The JVM running Workbench resides on machineB and is started by user Workbench.

In addition, the Guided Search (endeca) code does -not- attempt to set rights on the generational files created. As such the OS will use its default rights for new file creation. In this case the Commerce user used on the ATG JVM, does not have rights to files created on behalf of the Workbench / Experience Manager JVM.
