Logon With Special Characters in Passwords Not Possible When Using HTTPS Connection (Doc ID 2327485.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 23, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management - Version to [Release 6.1.0 to 6.2.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Actual Behavior

When trying to connect to Oracle Agile e6.1.3 by https the logon is not possible if there are some special characters in the password. Oracle Agile tells me that the password is wrong.
Connection to Oracle Agile e6.1.3 without https active it works.

Expected Behavior

Logon using https should work if there are some special characters in the password.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Start Java Client and create users with the passwords containing special character
  2. 2. Activate PLM-API in Java Client (Preferences -> Login -> HTTPS-Support).
  3. 3. Logoff from Java Client
  4. 4. Login to Java Client with the users you created before.
