Applies to:
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.0.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
On 7.5PS15, Portal SDK component ;
Scenario:
- User is trying Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) Software Development Kit (SDK) on Solaris 11.3 with an OCNCC (Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control) client program (brmBeClient) to login to a Linux BRM server.
If SSL connection is configured on the client and on BRM server the connection does not succeed,it throws SSL handshake error (PCM_CONTEXT_OPEN error with pin_err=192). - If both sides are configured not to use SSL, the connection succeeds.
- Using a Linux client with the BRM SDK for Linux connection to the same BRM server succeeds with SSL configured.
- In the Solaris client case if PIN_SSL_DEBUG=0x0037 is set in the client program environment a trace file is not written as expected for the SSL handshake, instead the client programs core dumps in the SDK library. This makes diagnosing the original SSL handshake problem difficult.
