Point in Time Valuation Plans Are Incorrectly Writing Data to AsValuationXML (Doc ID 2328968.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 20, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Policy Administration J2EE - Version 10.2.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Actual Behavior
V10 is currently writing data to the AsValuationXML table if the PAS.properties file is set to "Yes" regardless of whether the Plan in question uses Point In Time Valuation (PITV)
In V8, it would only write to this table for non-PITV plans.

Expected Behavior
Data should only be written to the AsValuationXM table when the PointInTimeValuation column in AsPlan is set to "N".
It should not write data to AsValuationXML when the PointInTimeValuation column in AsPlan is set to "Y" or "T".

Impact on Business
The data in AsValuationXML expands exponentially over time, causing performance issues.
