We are seeing strange behaviour in our Production ASCP when the demand supplies sits on the verge of Daily and Weekly Buckets.
Assembly Item AA is having Supplies which are coming up as firm from MPS Plan.
Due date of these Firm Planned orders are on 03 Nov 2017 and 10 Nov 2017 and has quantities of 30 each. When these firm planned orders are fed to the MRP plan, the BOM explosion happens and the components demands are derived.
Surprisingly, we see that some of the planned order demands for the components is skewed by 1 week and shows some of the quantities due a week early.
-- QTY of 23 pulled into Week 44 and only QTY of 7 remains in Week 45.
1. We have Hub & Spoke arrangement for our ASCP Plans.
-- MPS plan which feeds output to a MRP plan.
2. Bucket size are same across MPS and MRP plans.
3. MRP plan is in EDD - Constrained without Detailed scheduling mode.
- ONLY Material Constraints
- 60 days / 96 wks / 0 periods
- All Alternates checked
- No PTF / DTF and Overwrite - ALL
Expectation is to have the components demand correctly displayed in the weeks where the assembly due date falls.
