AIP: Logging in BSA Architecture Does Not Capture Skipped Records (Doc ID 2333212.1)

Last updated on MARCH 12, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Advanced Inventory Planning - Version 15.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In Oracle Retail Advanced Inventory Planning (AIP), loading measures with the Batch Script Architecture (BSA), if the interface file contains incorrect positions in the hierarchy files only the correct records are loaded, however the skipped records are not recorded in the log file.  This skipping information for the incorrect hierarchy positions is not displayed in the log file regardless of the BSA_LOG_LEVEL setting of DEBUG or INFORMATION etc.

The call of loadmeasure in load_rms_dm_measures and load_replenishment_measures does not take in RPAS_LOG_LEVEL to enable logging level.  Even though RPAS_LOG_LEVEL has been set to INFORMATION, the logs for loadmeasure are not in information mode.  It is important to be able to change the logging level. Changing it to Information would allow us to know when lines are skipped in loading (for example, an invalid store).
