System Option For Calendar

(Doc ID 2333967.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 30, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 15.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

What are the impacts if the system option for calendar type does not match the calendar set up in the system?
Wanting 5-4-4 calendar for operations, but Gregorian for Financials.

Would like the financial system and month closings based on the Gregorian calendar, but the merchandising group needs to plan and do demand forecasting (using RDF which requires 454) on the 454 calendar.
Based on other Oracle documentation (Doc id: 1470715.1) the calendar table is set based on the 454 calendar dates regardless of how the system option CALENDAR_454_IND is set (Gregorian vs 454).

Need to know how will setting the CALENDAR_454_IND = C (Gregorian) affect the data that RDF needs in the 454 format?
If the CALENDAR_454_IND is set for Gregorian, does it not affect how the following which are used in Allocations, replenishment, etc. are run:

hstbld.pc (Weekly Sales History Rollup by Department, Class, and Subclass)
hstbld_diff.pc (Weekly Sales History Rollup by Diff)
hstbldmth.pc (Monthly Sales History Rollup by Department, Class, and Subclass)
hstbldmth_diff.pc (Monthly Sales History Rollup by Diffs)
hstmthupd.pc (Monthly Stock on Hand, Retail and Average Cost Values Update)
hstwkupd.pc (Weekly Stock on Hand and Retail Value Update for Item/Location)
