Is It Intentional That IMAP ID Log Info (RFC 2971) Still Goes In The Imap Log Instead Of Transactlog?

Information in this document applies to any platform.
The ID info has been written to the imap log (if loglevel is set appropriately) since Messaging got support for RFC 2971, several years ago.
Since enabling the transaction log, the ID info is still being written to the imap log, while most everything else is going to the transaction log.
Q1: Is it intentional that IMAP ID log info (RFC 2971) still goes in the imap log instead of transactlog?
Ex: [30/Nov/2017:12:22:51 -0800] mshost imapd: General Information: [xx.xxx.xxx.xx:49082] imaptest_mail.rno_ariel client id=("name" "Abc OS X Mail" "version" "11.1 (3445.4.7)" "os" "Abc OS X" "os-version" "10.13.1 (17B1003)" "vendor" "Abc Inc.")
Q2: Is it necessary to set both of these imap options?
role.imap.actionattributes = all
role.imap.actions = all
And the messagetrace options:
role.messagetrace.actionattributes = all
role.messagetrace.activate = transactlog
