Symptoms

When attempting to configure the Unifier Provider deployment in an On-Premises Gateway and test the connection to Cloud Unifier, the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
Error in Connection. Verify connection parameters and try again.
The response was: Connection unsuccessful, Please verify the XML configuration. Connection unsuccessful, Please verify the Unifier configuration. unsupported protocol: httpthe specified server.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log on Gateway.
  2. Navigate to Configuration -> Deployments. Edit an Unifier Provider deployment.
  3. Enter the Short Name, Authentication Code and End Point URL with HTTPS protocol.
  4. Press the Test Connection button. Above error shows up.


BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact: Due to this issue, users cannot configure the Unifier Provider deployment and test connection successfully.
