Webmail (Convergence) hangs/freezes/errors (Doc ID 2335493.1)

Oracle Communications Convergence - Version 3.0.1 and later
Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 8.0.2 and later

Symptoms

Currently this is only present in the hotfix train and is not in an official patch of Messaging Server.

Using Messaging Server (MS) 8.0.2.x .

1.  On Convergence 3.0.1.4.0 following behavior is seen:

A user complained that he could not delete a message in webmail. It turns out the problem is that he cannot even display it.
The user gets a hang - Safari / MacOS mouse-pointer-becomes-swhirly.
When that message is copied into a folder on a test system, the following error is seen: "The mail server unexpectedly closed the connection" and in the http log we see:


2.  On Convergence 3.0.1.3 following behavior is seen:

When clicked on the message, it hangs and a pop-up shows up as "Warning: Unresponsive script" and it hangs even if I click either continue or Stop script.
 

3.  Additionally, some customers are seeing the message: "A web page is slowing down your browser.  What would you like to do?"  in Firefox and it hangs when an option is chosen.
