SALESUPLOAD Batch Returns Successfully Even Though There Is an Error in Sqlldr (Doc ID 2335540.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 27, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 15.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In RMS 15.0.1, the SALESUPLOAD batch returns successfully, even though there is sqlldr error.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Prepare a POSU file to be loaded.
2. Cause the SQL Loader process to fail (i.e. change permission of ctl file to not be readable/writable).
3. The salesupload process completes successfully, however, no data is loaded into the SVC_POSUPLD* tables.
The SALESUPLOAD batch should have caught the exception and returned a non-successful error code.
