Clarification on Attribute Type Editor Use (Doc ID 2335978.1)

Last updated on APRIL 15, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Warehouse Management System - Version 15.0 to 15.0.1 [Release 15.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

As per RWMS 15.0.1 GUI User guide:
The Attribute Type Editor allows you to maintain a primary list of attribute types. You can choose which operations are required when attributes are applied to processes, item classes, items, location classes, and locations. The operations include:

■ Capture: The attribute requires a user to obtain specific information about an item, such as a serial number.
■ Validate: The attribute requires a user to verify that the information provided by RWMS in a field is correct.
■ Match: Both an item and a location must have the same attribute in order for the item to be stored in the location. For example, an item requiring refrigeration can only be stored in a refrigerated location. Match attributes apply only to putaway and move processes.

How to set up the attribute as described in the example (refrigeration) so that is is used in the put away process? where is the system doing that validation?
