Error: 'ORA-01795: maximum number of expressions in a list is 1000' When Attempting to Attach Files to a Record Using the 'Unifier Folder' (Doc ID 2336751.1)

When selecting an item that contains more than 1000 items to a Business Process (BP) record using the Unifier Folder, the item fails to upload and the following generic message displays:

The system could not process your request. Logging in again may help in some cases. Contact your system admin if you are still having problems.

The following error can be found in the Unifier log file:

java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-01795: maximum number of expressions in a list is 1000



The folder should be attached without issue.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to Unifier.
  2. Navigate to the application BP workspace.
  3. Create/open a record.
  4. In the toolbar click on Add Attachment Unifier Folder.
  5. Select an object that contains more than 1000 folders/files.
  6. View the reported error.
