Applies to:

Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller - Version 6.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On Oracle Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller(OC3C), 6.0.1 version, it is observed that Diameter Control Agent(DCA) rejects requests from Origin-Hosts or Origin-Realms containing an "underscore" character and returning "DIAMETER_INVALID_AVP_VALUE".

Consider the below sample Hostname and Realm used:

Origin-Host: abc_gw1
Origin-Realm: www.abc_gw1.com

Sample dca.log:

Here if the "originHostMustBeFQDN" parameter (inside the DCA instance sections of the eserv.config file) is disabled, then DCA will accept the Origin-Host, but not the Origin-Realm.

Kindly refer OC3C 6.0.1 Diameter Control Agent Technical Guide "DCAInstances Configuration Section" for more information on setting the "originHostMustBeFQDN" Parameter.
