Install of BI Publisher Fails with "ERROR: Temporary directory /tmp does not have enough free space." (Doc ID 2341194.1)

Goal

When trying to install the BI Publisher package,  the default tmp directory usually does not have enough space which causes this  error

 ./bi_platform-12.2.1.3.0_linux64.bin
ERROR: Temporary directory /tmp does not have enough free space. At least 3499 MB of free space are required.
Please input another directory or [Exit]:
ERROR: Cannot setup the extract directory /tmp/sfx_35WtUK (-1).
