The 'Dbsetup' Wizard Jumps Straight to 'The installation has been completed' Without Upgrading the PPM Database (Doc ID 2341290.1)

When attempting to upgrade and version of P6 Professional PPM database to 17.12 the following message is observed; the database is not upgraded and the window advances to the end of the database setup wizard:

The installation has been completed. Click "Finish" to exit the application, or "Next" to continue with another installation.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Launch dbsetup.bat.
  2. Enter in database type, hostname, port, and P6 PPM database name, then click Next.
  3. Observe the reported behavior.
