Symptoms

Device Events are created in error status when the External Application (service provider) is not the head end system defined for the Device (or if not defined on the device the fallback on Device Type). They are seeing the "There is no device for Head End with Device Identifier Type D1EI and Value ".

Steps to Recreate

  1. Set up a head-end with the option "Device to Service Provider Matching = Allow Loading to Any Device"
  2. Go to menu option "Menu->Communication->Load IMDs / Events (XML)".
  3. In Upload box load a Device Event. Use the Head End set up in step one and a Device that has a different head end set up for it.
  4. Device Event will load in error with following message in the log: "There is no device for Head End ITRONOW with Device Identifier Type D1BN and Value ZZSGD5."
