Getting ORA-03113 While adding item in "PO Item/Location" Screen

Information in this document applies to any platform.
While adding item in "PO Item/Location" Screen,the following error occurs.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Login to RMS application.
- Navigate to Ordering-->Orders.
- Select New Order, then click OK button. The PO Header Maintenance window opens.
- Specify required fields.
- Click Items button and specify valid item.
- Click Apply Item.
- It throws the below error "ORA-03113 - end of file on communication channel"
