Enhancement - Inactivity Timeout Issue, not saving if no Attachment for Case - Why ?
(Doc ID 2344560.1)
Last updated on JULY 13, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Life Sciences Argus Safety - Version 8.1.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On Applications Oracle Life Sciences Argus Safety Version : 8.1.1
The Enhancement added in 8.1 e,g,
Bug 13885132 - ER: USER ACCOUNT SESSION TIMEOUT FUNCTIONALITY
Does not appear to be working as expected e.g. according to the notes:
However, if user navigates within an Argus Case to [Additional Information] tab and adds both text and attachment, then leaves screen until timeout is encountered.
On re-logging into the application both the text and the attachments are still present.
The issue is if the user is in the same [Additional Information] tab and adds just the text (in preparation for adding attachment), but once again leaves screen idle until timeout occurs,
this time (when no attachments are added), when they re-log in again after the timeout, then the data is not saved/retained.
Steps to replicate
- Open or create a new case
- Navigate to [Additional Information] screen
- Add Text for two attachments
- Leave application on this screen and wait for Argus timeout to kick in
- User is automatically logged out of case
- Re-Log into application and access same case
- Information added to [Additional Information] in previous session is not retained.
Conversely....
- Open or create a new case
- Navigate to [Additional Information] screen
- Add Text for two attachments
- Add attachment to second row e.g. MS Word doc
- Leave application on this screen and wait for Argus timeout to kick in
- User is automatically logged out of case
- Re-Log into application and access same case
- Information added to [Additional Information] in previous session is all retained.
