Certificate Error : CCB (Doc ID 2344810.1)

Last updated on JUNE 06, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing - Version 2.3.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

We have two CCB application nodes. The application is deployed in weblogic. There is a netscaler load balancer configured which does load balancing of incoming client requests to any of the CCB application node.

Host 1- (App URL - https://<node01>:7501/spl/loginPage.jsp)
Host 2- (App URL - https://<node02>:7501/spl/loginPage.jsp)
Load balancer URL given to client : 'https://<loadbalancer>:7501/spl/loginPage.jsp' (which is translated via client DNS to load balancer and load balancer in turn redirect this request to available app node)

We have the Entrust certificates installed on hosts '<node01>' and '<node02>'. Now when the client uses the above shown node specific URL on their machines they directly see the CCB login page. However if they use the above shown load balancer URL (https://<loadbalancer>:7501/spl/loginPage.jsp) then they get certificate error.  They need to click on 'continue to this website' option to reach to CCB login page.  The goal is to eliminate this error and wants client directly see the CCB login page when using this load balancer URL.
