Data Duplicates When Updating MEMCLS Field (Doc ID 2346532.1)

Last updated on MARCH 28, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Health Insurance Enterprise Policy Administration - Version 2.17.3.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

MEMCLS is a dynamic field under policy enrollment.  When a new record is added for MEMCLS (CLASSIFICATION, startDate, endDate), the newly entered data is entered in duplicate if the classification code is captured  first.

The expected behavior is that only one record should be written when captured.  No duplication should occur.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
When policy is in Edit status,
1. Click update "Update Enrollment"
2. Click + ("Add Row") for CLASSIFICATION
3. Enter the classification code and enter a start and end date
4. Click "OK"

The workaround is:
When policy is in Edit status,
1. Click update "Update Enrollment"
2. Click + ("Add Row") for CLASSIFICATION
3. Enter the start and end date first without entering a classification code.
4. Click "OK" (this step is important otherwise when you enter classification code the start and end dates blank out and you are stuck with the same problem)
5.Error is received as classification code is mandatory so the system will complain that it is blank.
6. Now capture the classification code  and click "OK"
Only 1 line of the data you just captured will display.
