Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

After login to OBIEE, any subsequent action takes roughly 30 seconds to complete after sitting idle in OBIEE for greater than 3 minutes.

For example *but not limited to*: Clicking from one location to another within OBIEE (like moving from the home page than clicking the dashboard link or clicking the catalog link) hangs for roughly 30 seconds before the action completes


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

After sitting idle in OBIEE for greater than three minutes for the responsiveness of the application to not hang for 30 seconds before executing the noted action.

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to OBIEE
  2. Sit idle for greater than 3 minutes (such as 4 or 5 minutes)
  3. Attempt to perform any action within OBIEE
  4. Note the delay you experience before the action completes
