Convergence The Search In CAB Does Not Work - Any Characters Entered Into The Search Box Are Ignored

Symptoms

Searching in the Convergence Address Book (CAB) does not produce any results with any search filter, no matter how many characters are entered into the search field.

When a search is attempted, nothing is logged in the directory server access log or error log.

The following was observed in the iwc.log with debugging turned on for address book:
