The SALESPROCESS.KSH Does Not Inherit Correct Sales_type When It Ranges a Zone-Level Clearance Item (Doc ID 2350520.1)

Last updated on MARCH 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 15.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Actual Behavior
When a POSU contains an item that is not ranged to a location in a zone, the Main Processing of Staged Sale/Return Transactions (SALESPROCESS) ranges it. However, if the item is on a Zone-Level Clearance, the resulting sales_type in the TRAN_DATA table is incorrectly labeled as Regular (R), instead of Clearance (C).

Expected Behavior
The SALESPROCESS.KSH batch should inherit the Zone-Level Clearances for the Item/Location combination.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Load a POSU file containing an item, which is not ranged to a location in a Zone, and which is on Zone-Level clearance.
2. Run the Upload POSU File for Processing (UPLOADSALES) batch and then the SALESPROCESS.KSH batch to load the sales.
3. Check the TRAN_DATA table, and notice that the sales_type is R when it should be C.
