ECE Balance Query Response Enrichment (Doc ID 2352430.1)

Last updated on MARCH 11, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications BRM - Elastic Charging Engine - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : version, Diameter Gateway

Requirement is to trigger PostChariging hook in balance query request (to ECE) to access the extended customer attributes(ACCOUNT_NO,OBJECT_CACHE_TYPE) and send it as response to OC3C (Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller) using diameter extension(SampleDiameterGyExtension). For this, it is required to first put data into extension cache using PostChariging hook. But PostCharging hook is not triggered in balance query request. One needs PostCharging hook to be traversed for balance query diameter request as well to achieve this.

Use case:

OC3C, requires account number and the customer type (prepaid, postpaid, hybrid), based on which it builds notifications to end user. So in the balance query response to OC3C, we would like to access these information and put it extension cache so that we can have access to this data to enrich the response back to OC3C.
