How file detection using wildcards relates to File Watcher, File Specification name (Doc ID 2352970.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Health Sciences Data Management Workbench - Version 2.4.7 to 2.9.0 [Release 2.4 to 2.9.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Your using wildcards in the File Watcher, File Specification name, and there's an "X" character before the last * (asterisk) wildcard in the File Spec name, it causes the load file to be detected in the wrong data model. For example:

Study : Study1
Data model : SAN_EG
File name in file spec : SAN_EG*.*

Study : Study1
Data model : SAN_EX
File name in file spec : SAN_EX*.*

When we place a file called SAN_EG_AE.csv in the watched location we expected this file to be visible under SAN_EG data model. However, the file is showing under the SAN_EX data model. Suspect that "X" in the file name is considered as "any character".

We know ideally the complete file name along with extension should be provided in the filename attribute under file specification tab, however the scenario here is using wildcards.
