Disable user_message_reference Optional Parameters In SMPP (Doc ID 2355139.1)

Last updated on MARCH 22, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 6.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control version 6.0.0 the Messaging Manager (MM) is a messaging system for mobile networks. It acts as a Virtual Message Point (VMP) for a variety of different messaging traffic.

The Short Message Peer-to-Peer protocol (SMPP) adapter communicates between the Messaging Manager platform and any configured Application Service Provider (ASPs) and Short Message Service Centre (SMSC) using SMPP.

Is there a way to suppress the optional parameter "user_message_reference" from the outgoing SMPP messages? As some SMSC operators are not supporting this parameter.
